Clara Vale Music & Semibreve

Ball & Tertell

Outdoor Gigs

Rural Tour

Katie Tertell is an International Concert Cellist and Annie Ball is a trained concert pianist, playing accordion for this tour. Both are highly experienced project and event coordinators.

After hugely successful pilot of sold-out outdoor performances in the village of Clara Vale on July 11th, Katie and Annie have decided to put on a Rural Tour of the Northeast this Autumn 2020 and Spring/Summer 2021 and provide socially-distanced outdoor performances that are accessible to those who are craving a bit of culture at their doorstep.  They played a fantastic set of accordion and cello music, all their own arrangements including a world premiere by a renowned Irish composer. They would like to partner with small, local, independent businesses and organisations that would benefit from the audience the tour would bring, by the media coverage and those who may be looking to raise their artistic profile. Outdoor spaces, village greens, courtyards and private gardens with facilities in easy reach.

Annie and Katie are highly-trained professional artists, and offer the highest quality of musical experience.  They are also experienced events and project coordinators and each event will be fully covered by product and public liability insurance (certification supplied on demand) and comprehensive risk assessment.  The concept for this tour will have an emphasis on local folk music, jazz, classical and bluegrass- a little something for everyone that would appeal to a wide audience. Please browse the media below which will give a sense of their style.  The tour offers either a Family Special Concert, an Afternoon Delight (older kids can be welcome) and/or a Candlelit Special in the evening. Since the tour is acoustic, the gigs have no impact on local residents. Venues are invited to supply refreshments to generate revenue but similarly, this could be organised by the tour.

From the success of their July pilot, it became obvious that there is a tremendous need for cultural events in a setting that feels safe and responsible- so much so that they had to add a "run-out" performance the next day to meet demand! This is a time of great enthusiasm for live events, the tour is hoping for similar success.

"After months of being in lockdown one of the things we had missed most as a family was attending live events. So it was lovely to not only be able to attend the open air concert, but also to be able to support the local arts. It was such a well organised and safe event. We could totally relax and just enjoy the experience knowing they were keeping everyone safe as we did so. Can't wait for the next one!!"

Clare Lee, Clara Vale Outdoor Gigs

"I spent a lovely relaxing afternoon at one of Annie's outdoor concerts ... The first concert after lockdown! It was amazing to be outside enjoying a picnic and enjoying gorgeous music... Total luxury!"
